CIOB Exhibition Will Propel Nigeria’s Economic Growth – Group Head

The Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) has said that its upcoming award, valedictory and exhibition is aimed at coming up with innovative ideas and business models that will “exponentially” propel the growth of the Nigerian economy.

Group Head, Bldr. Onabekun Isiaka Adekunle said the 2024 CIOB NIGERIA HUB MEET 2.0 is the second edition, just like an annual conference for other professionals locally and foreign to promote serving stakeholders in the built environment with reputable awards, celebrate doyens in the industry, both related and non related, hence they are in the built environment.

“No economy in the world can do without the built environment’s contributions, as we have here in Nigeria, for Renewed Hope Agenda that supports infrastructural development of the country, to compete with the likes of Dubai,Saudi Arabia and China and others “, Bldr. Adekunle said.”

As the meet gets closer, Nigeria’s economic future looks brighter, especially with sustainability call to action. Policymakers are now poised to implement reforms, harness technological advancements, and foster international collaboration.

The stage is thus set for the country’s economic revival – driven by coordinated policy implementation and a shared vision for prosperity, strategic partnership and collaboration.

The Meet also aims to showcase innovative ideas and construction technologies for the public to transform circularity and digitalization of the sector, importantly creating networks of business continuity.

Dignitaries expected at the Meet include the Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, the Ministers of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Housing, and Works. Others include Royal Fathers, Doyen of Construction Industries that include Julius Berger Nig Plc, Development Control of the FCT and other real estate developers and other industry players in the country.
