The Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed dismay at the brazen and barbaric attack by suspected kidnappers that led to the abduction of journalists.
The Nation and Blueprint reporters and their families were taken away from their homes in Danhono area of the state capital.
In condemning the abduction, the Council Chairman, Comrade Asmau Yawo Halilu and Secretary, Gambo Santos Sanga in a joint statement called on security agencies to aid the release of the abductees.
They said government at all levels should intensify efforts to secure lives and properties in the state, to forestall the trend of kidnapping in the Kaduna and its environs.
However, the State Council of the NUJ enjoined all practicing Journalists to be vigilant in their duties.
