ABUJA, Nigeria – Mediaage NG News – Newly appointed Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr. Michael Achimugu has assumed office and pledged to protect the rights and privileges of consumers, as enshrined in the NCAA Customer Bill of Rights.
Having had years of service with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Achimugu excelled in the Nigeria Customs Service, where he served as a Public Relations personnel and the Service’s first-ever Social Media Officer.
The communications expert, parades over two decades of experience spanning the, NSCDC, the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and managing communications campaigns for high-profile presidential candidates.
According to a statement signed by Carol Adekotujo, Head, Public Relations, Achimugu remains the first and only Nigerian to serve as a Media Consultant to multiple presidential candidates in the same election cycle.
He was the Media Director of the Atiku Campaign Organisation, and later served as the Media Consultant in Dr. Kingsley Moghalu’s Presidential Campaign.
“Achimugu is multi talented, a singer, writer, movie producer/director, and has worked as a creative director for multiple media firms”, the statement read.
“As a fixer, he helped VIPs create brands, control damage, and solve complex problems”, it added.
Described as the youngest Director, the statement said he has carved a reputation as a team-builder, leader, project manager, and consummate professional.
“Until his appointment as a Director on the 22nd of December, 2023, he doubled as the Special Assistant, Customer Relations/ Special Assistant Media to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Fetsus Keyamo (SAN). At the same stretch, he served as the Deputy General Manager (DGM) Public Relations, NCAA”, the statement concluded.
