The Nigerian Senate is expected to meet with President Bola Tinubu on the spate of insecurity across the country. It also condemned the recent attacks by terrorists on residents of some communities in Benue State.
At least, fifty persons lost their lives following attacks in Kwande, Ukum, Logo and Kastina-Ala local government areas of the state.
The Senate also called for urgent deployment of security personnel to areas disturbed by terrorists’ attacks.
While others have been killed by terrorists who paraded themselves as herdsmen, many are are still missing, according to Senator Emmanuel Udende Udende, from Benue North East.
“We need Mr. President to insist on value for money. You get more resources, we want to see better security environment”, said former Senate President, Ahmed Lawan.
