President Bola Tinubu has restricted Ministers, Ministers of State and Head of Agencies to at most, three vehicles for official convoys. There will be no additional vehicles assigned to them.
As contained in a directive issued on Thursday, the Nigerian President also ordered the aforementioned to make use of no fewer than five security personnel – four police officers and a DSS officer.
These are part of measures aimed at reducing cost of running his government.
Last January, Mr. Tinubu reduced his entourage on foreign trips to 20 officials that was previously 50, and 25 officials for local trips. He had also cut down the size of entourage of the Vice President to five officials for foreign assignments, and 15, domestically.
