Delta, July 21 (Mediaage NG) – Former Governor of Delta state, James Ibori, who has been ordered by a court in London to hand over ₦100,945,000,000.00 ($130m, £100m), has in a statement on Twitter, said he will “take [his] fight for justice to the highest courts in the UK”.
He revealed this in anticipation of Friday’s court order.
The BBC said, while speaking about the judge, the former Governor said “in the two years it has taken to write this judgment, it seems apparent that he has forgotten many of the salient points and is prioritising expediency over justice”.
In 2012, Mr. Ibori was convicted in London of fraud and money laundering but, he is back in Nigeria after serving some of his sentence in a British jail.
